World leader in design and manufacturing of high-technology systems in radiopharma, pharma and regenerative medicine will collaborate with CNIC to enhance Canada’s leadership in the field of nuclear medicine and isotopes.
Comecer, a world leader in the design and manufacturing of equipment for the safe treatment of radioactive substances in nuclear medicine has joined a growing list of organizations as members of the Canadian Nuclear Isotope Council (CNIC) an independent body made up of representatives from the Canadian health sector, nuclear industry and leading research groups, the CNIC was convened to promote Canada’s role in the production of the world’s supply of radioisotopes.
“Any patient needing medical isotopes for diagnostic purposes is usually scheduled for a nuclear scan (which includes all types of imaging techniques that use radioactivity). Reliability and affordability of radioisotope supply will be critical to patients who depend on their treatments being available.

that Canada continues to be a world leader in the production of life-saving isotopes by bringing awareness and supporting long-term policies at the domestic and international levels that will save countless lives and support health-care innovation for decades to come.
