Toronto, ON – August 7, 2025 – The Canadian Nuclear Isotope Council (CNIC) is pleased to announce that TMC Group, a North Vancouver-based manufacturer of high-purity stable isotopes, has joined the CNIC’s network of over 110 members from across Canada’s isotope supply chain.
The TMC Group has been manufacturing stable isotopes since 2004 and now produces specialized stable isotopes based on their customers’ needs, both in small, research-scale batches and in large commercial batches. While TMC Group currently produces isotopes such as ytterbium-176, gallium-69, gadolinium-160, and palladium-104, they remain flexible and can adjust their proprietary isotope-manufacturing technology and production processes to produce other stable isotopes based on the demand from their customers around the world.
Following the TMC Group’s participation in the Canadian Radiotheranostics Leaders’ Summit, a two-day conference hosted by the CNIC alongside industry and academic partners, the two organizations will now deepen their ties to advance Canadian isotope innovation on behalf of patients across the country.
As the CNIC’s newest member organization, the TMC Group will have the opportunity to participate in federal and provincial advocacy opportunities, in-person and virtual events, and the CNIC’s educational programming.
“We’re proud to join the Canadian Nuclear Isotope Council and be part of a growing network that’s strengthening Canada’s isotope supply chain,” said Brian Webster, President of the TMC Group. “At TMC, we’ve focused on producing high-quality stable isotopes for over 20 years, and we look forward to working with other CNIC members to support innovation and improve access to important medical technologies.”
“I’m glad to welcome the TMC Group to the CNIC’s network of members and commend them for the important role they play in Canada’s isotope ecosystem. A dependable supply of stable isotopes is critical to ensuring patients across the country and around the world continue to have access to cancer care when they need it most,” said James Scongack, Chair of the CNIC’s Board of Directors. “The growing contingent of innovative isotope producers within the CNIC’s membership speaks to the importance of increasing our domestic production capacity in Canada and supporting our goal to double Canadian isotope production by 2030 as outlined in the Isotopes for Hope campaign.”
