Toronto, ON – August 28th, 2025 – The Canadian Nuclear Isotope Council (CNIC) is pleased to welcome Isotope Insights as its newest member. Founded in 2023 by Dr. Andrea Armstrong, a leading expert in nuclear science and strategy, Isotope Insights offers targeted expertise to organizations working across the medical isotope supply chain. With a mission to strengthen decision-making and accelerate innovation, Isotope Insights brings a unique blend of technical depth, policy experience, and public engagement to the CNIC’s growing network.
Isotope Insights was created to fill a strategic gap which is helping nuclear-sector companies and institutions navigate the complex requirements of radionuclide production, radiopharmaceutical development, and infrastructure planning. The organization brings more than 20 years of experience across Canadian and international isotope programs, with deep knowledge spanning isotope production technologies, radiopharmaceutical development, and commercial-scale processing.
Isotope Insights draws on its broad leadership experience to offer high-impact support across multiple areas of the isotope field. The firm has capacity in development of radionuclide-based therapies, advanced production techniques for high-demand isotopes, and strategic funding applications to support critical research programs and infrastructure. These capabilities are grounded in its scientific and regulatory fluency. Isotope Insights also maintains active links to international expertise and standards through engagement with the IAEA’s Consultancy Group on Lu-177.
“Canada’s isotope advantage isn’t just in infrastructure capabilities, it’s in the expertise we cultivate. Through leadership from companies like Isotope Insights, Canada can turn knowledge into action, and leverage our infrastructure to its full potential” said Melody Greaves, Executive Director of the CNIC. “As the CNIC continues to grow, Isotope Insights brings a valuable lens on how scientific expertise, education, and advocacy can amplify Canada’s isotope leadership.”
“This is an incredibly exciting time for Canada’s nuclear isotope sector – what we’re seeing is more than a renaissance, it’s a true reimagining of what radionuclide science can offer to the world,” said Dr. Armstrong. “I’m excited to be working with the CNIC, which has become a powerful voice for Canada’s isotope sector, and I look forward to building more connections to support strategic initiatives across the industry.”
In joining the CNIC, Isotope Insights brings its unique expertise to help bridge gaps between research, policy, and practice. The organization’s addition reflects the CNIC’s commitment to supporting all facets of the isotope ecosystem, including consulting and capacity-building organizations that help others succeed.
